For Immediate Release Jamie Forhan, Founder of the Munchkin Fund March 24th, 2011   On April 2nd Estella Ogbonna, CEO/Creative Director of ESTELLA COUTURE LLC will unveil her fabulous new summer line at a special charity fundraiser sponsored by Sly Horse Studio, 2375 Lewis Ave, Rockville, MD starting at 7PM. Estella has long been known for her work to help local children especially those who are patients at Children’s Hospital. The beauty of her designs is only surpassed by the beauty of her work on their behalf. This time she’s partnered with local photographer Jamie Forhan, Founder of the Munchkin Fund http://www.munchkinfund.org/ to raise funds for Fresh Start Science.   Fresh Start Science is a non-profit that is dedicated to helping young single mothers join the economic and social mainstream. Fresh Start Science considers success to be the combination of desire plus opportunity. Its’ major innovation is deploying the science of wellness genetics as the starting point to build self-esteem. This represents the first time that genetics is being used to address a non-medical social challenge. Each young mother learns about her and her child’s natural talents, strengths and weaknesses in important life areas. These include personality, weight management, athletic abilities, creativity, learning and other everyday traits. Specially trained wellness genetics mentor coaches then help the young mother use this 21st Century scientific information to identify new directions for her life and her child’s life. Fresh Start Science then connects her to community opportunities in jobs, education, parenting support, arts participation and other life-enhancing activities. The fashion show will feature models from both the Faces of Estella and Jamie’s Angels. Jamie’s Angels are models who raise funds for the Munchkin Fund to earn their wings. The funds raised will go towards creating a major demonstration project in the Greater Washington-Baltimore area. This is a must-see event for those who love fashion and who believe in helping our communities.
