Ever since her breakthrough single, Emotional Roller Coaster, was released in 2002, Vivian Green has continuously blessed the music scene with vivid lyrics and a golden voice. This weekend D.C.'s Own Hip Hop Artist @Wale helped D.C. United kick-off its 2010 home campaign with a pre-match performance on Saturday, April 3. Taking place on the Armory Mall on RFK Stadium's west side, Wale performed tracks from his debut album Attention: Deficit, as well as select tracks from his highly successful mixtapes.

Goodie Mob Reunion (featuring Cee-Lo, Big Gipp, Khujo & T-Mo)

Goodie Mob, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is widely considered one of the founding hip hop acts of the Dirty South movement. Goodie Mob's earnest and reverent approach made them one of the more admired groups of their era, and undeniably one of the most respected groups in the often irreverent and scoffed at Dirty South scene. The Atlanta group's first album, Soul Food (1995), stands as one of the earliest Southern rap albums to emerge on a major label and essentially proved that rap was no longer a West and East Coast phenomenon. The pioneering yet increasingly conflicted group sadly broke up in 1999 but the four members had appeared on stage together in 2006 stating that they were back together and on good terms and are working on an album.

Looks like @930Clubdc is bringing All THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS of GOODIE MOB playing that southernplayalistic music on Feb.11!

Tonight Wale will be having his homecoming show at the 930 Club located 815 V. St. NW Washington DC. Tickets are still available for $25 on the 930 Club website. The doors will be opening at 7pm. The schedules of performance is Wordsmith at 8pm, Phil Ade at 830pm, XO at 9pm, Tabi Bonney at 930pm, and finally Wale with UCB at 1030pm.
