This weekend D.C.'s Own Hip Hop Artist @Wale helped D.C. United kick-off its 2010 home campaign with a pre-match performance on Saturday, April 3. Taking place on the Armory Mall on RFK Stadium's west side, Wale performed tracks from his debut album Attention: Deficit, as well as select tracks from his highly successful mixtapes.

According to Yahoo Music, Lady Gaga is the only digital era music artist to break the 5 million sales mark.  She achieved this with sales of her first two singles, "Poker Face" and "Just Dance."

 Lady Gaga joins the Beats roster of headphone endorsers.  This time the piece is an in-ear headphone and features flat cable, tangle-less wires as well as multiple flanges for prime fitting and a unique Lady Gaga signature to accentuate the piece.  More information will be known as soon as they hit stores next month.

This year Wale and UCB will be the head house band for the VMAs next month, reports the Associated Press. Wale will be joining other performers such as Jay-Z, Beyonce, Green Day, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga. The VMAs will air Sunday, September 13 at 9pm.

Jay-Z, Diddy and Kanye West topped Forbes’s annual list of hip-hop’s top earners. Dubbed Hip-Hop Cash Kings, the list, which was announced today, names the top 20 most financially successful rap artists over the last year, beginning in June 2008.

Topping the list, and stealing 50 Cent’s title from last year, is Brooklyn rap business mogul, who Forbes believes to have raked in $35 million since last June. Although down from last year’s reputed $82 million in earnings, Jay still managed to pull in millions in profits from his relentless world tour.

New song by Rih Rih called "Silly Boy". It's about how a girl refuses to take back her ex-boyfriend because he didn't know how to treat her. With all that has been going on since the fight, leak of pictures... I definitely think this song is about CB.
