Michael Jackson's public memorial will be held today at the Los Angeles Staples Center. Even thought the Staples Center only holes about 18-20k they are expecting over 200,000 people. Some of the performers for the memorial include Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, and Stevie Wonder.
Many other of Michael’s fans and friends are expected to make an appearance. Two of his closest friends Quincy Jones and Elizabeth Taylor said they will not be there.

(MYFOX NATIONAL) - As Michael Jackson's family continues to decide on his burial plans, one tough decision has apparently already been made -- he will be buried without his brain.
The London Daily Mail and several other outlets are reporting that the family had to make the grim choice of waiting up to three weeks for Jackson's brain to be returned to them or go ahead and bury him without it.
After performing an autopsy on the legendary singer, the Los Angeles Coroner's Office has kept the brain for additional neurological tests including ones to see what drugs he may have taken. But the examination reportedly cannot begin until at least two weeks after the death when the brain has hardened sufficiently to slice it open.
According to the Sunday Mirror , a source from the coroner's office said that removing the brain was "the only way to carry out the tests."
"The tissue has to be examined. I can't tell you how long that is going to take," he said.
A public memorial for Jackson will be held on Tuesday at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, and the family is planning a private event at Forest Lawn cemetery in the Hollywood Hills at a later date.

After the BET Awards on Sunday, rumors started that Jay-Z refused to perform if Chris Brown also hit the stage and now rappers are reacting. We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.
Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.
Jackson had 13 number one hits during his solo career.

TMZ.com was the first to report that The King of Pop was taken to UCLA Medical Center just after 1 PM Left Coast Time after suffering from Cardiac Arrest (That's a heart attack for those of you who don't watch Grey's Anatomy) . Various media outlets are speculating about his status. KTLA is reporting Jackson wasn't breathing when medics arrived at the scene.
