Aug. 5th-7th Tax Free Weekend

Virginia Governor Bob McDonell confirmed today that Virginia will have its' sixth annual sales tax free weekend August 5th-7th.  Retail stores throughout the state will eliminate the 5 percent sales tax on school supplies $20 and below, clothes and shoes $100 and up and other retail items.

According to NBC Washington, Virginians are projected save an estimated $4.3 million over those three days.
