Tropical Storm Leaves Sinkhole In Guatemala

Tropical storm Agatha swept through Central America over the weekend, causing major damage in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

But the most major damage was done in downtown Guatemala, where a giant sinkhole swallowed a three story building.  A total of 146 people have been reported dead and  90 people have been reported missing in Guatemala.

According to the Washington Examiner, a sinkhole is caused when the ground is literally peeled away by heavy amounts of water.
